We all know that the main reason any of us will be buying or pre-ordering the new Call of Duty game. And that’s because of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered. Well, we have very important news to share with you. It turns out the game will have dedicated server support on launch. So, along with enjoying the game’s visuals you will also enjoy the mostly lag-free multiplayer gameplay.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Will Have Dedicated Server Support on Launch
Dedicated servers are usually paid for by developers or clan members. It costs a lot to start and maintain them. So, usually, some of these servers require some people to pay for them in order to play in them. However, dedicated servers funded by the developers themselves don’t require players to pay an extra just to play in them. A good example of dedicated servers is battlefield 3 & 4, Unreal Tournament, Counter-Strike, and MMORPGs.
Usually, consoles don’t support dedicated servers and players have to rely on the person hosting the server to provide a lag-free experience. This is mostly not the case. Also, it becomes even worse for players with very high latency because of geographical distance and bad internet service. Dedicated servers are spread out all over the world. Players in the immediate vicinity (like a dedicated server/s for one country) can join them instead of joining some kid miles away in another country to enjoy multiplayer.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered will release with infinite Warfare. There is no confirmation of whether the dedicated server support will extend to that game also.
