Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 4 is live and it is hand-down the best map pack for the game we have ever seen. It’s an absolute shame it took so long to arrive given that a new and even more anticipated Call of Duty game is right around the corner. Therefore, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 4 features might not get the play time it deserves. It’s going to get washed away in all the IW and MW4 tournaments and hype. This should’ve been the first map pack because the maps are inherently better than all the other DLC maps. We’ll give you a run-down of all the maps here.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 4 features maps – Micro
The aesthetics for this map are fantastic. This is the coolest looking map we’ve ever played on. It’s basically the backyard of a house complete with garden equipment, beer bottles submerged in ice packs and even ants roaming around. Yes you can shoot the insects but it doesn’t do much except have them blow up in a spectacular green fashion. The map is hilarious. It looks funky and beautiful. It’s also occasionally gross but the bright colors complement the scenery and make the overall aesthetics look appealing.
Rupture – Ride mechs and crush your foes!
The mechs are spawnable and there are a total of six per map. Anybody can hop in and out. They’re very slow paced unlike the ones in Titanfall which can literally run around grabbing enemies and perform other tricks. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 4 features mechs that are not so over-powered but that doesn’t mean they are not fun. You have a machine gun in one arm and the other arm can fire rockets. Rupture is a huge map. It is the biggest Call of Duty map at the moment. So, it makes sense to have mechs in the game to traverse such large train in the safety of these robots, hidden from campers and sniper fire. Bad news is the map is only fun to play with mechs and not as regular soldiers.
Citadel
This is the best map in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 DLC 4 gameplay wise. This is the castle map with all the zombie easter eggs. The map is really big but it plays really well. There’s a water segment in the game that can get you to three important positions on the map. The spawns are good, objective modes are good and it plays really well in TDM. It has just the right amount of cover, wall-running and other features that are crucial for the Black Ops 3 multiplayer experience.
Standoff
There are some Back to the Future easter eggs here in the barn. It plays like Stand-off. It’s the weakest of the four DLC maps but it is not entirely bad. There are some good sniper spots plus wall-runners and double-jumping to get the line of sight on an enemy can also be done in this map easily.
Revelations – Climax of the Zombies campaign
The four characters – Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai – finally meet the mysterious doctor Monty in the house. The four heroes must fight the zombie hordes one last time and put an end to the menace once and for all.
