For the past few weeks, LG has been announcing and launching mid-range and entry-level smartphones under its K-series. Recently LG has launched K4 under the same line. If Verizon’s latest database is to be believed, the LG K4 might be heading for Verizon. The carrier might pick it as a part of its affordable offerings to US customers. While nothing has been made official yet, Verizon has listed a new LG smartphone with the model number LGK120AR in its latest database. LGK120AR has similar hardware specs as that of LG K4. So the news might turn out to be true.

LG K4

The LG K4 sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 X 480 pixels (FWVGA). The processor used by LG is a MediaTek MT6735M assisted by a rather little 1 GB RAM. K4 offers 8 GB of internal space expandable up to 32 GB by an external memory card. On the camera front, K4 has a 5 MP rear lens, for selfies and video calls it has a 2 MP front-facing camera. The device comes with LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB 2.0 connectivity. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is powered by a 1,940 mAh Li-ion Battery.

LGK120AR measures 131.9 x 66.7 mm as per the info provided by Verizon’s database which is exactly equal to the LG K4 which has a dimension of 131.9 x 66.7 x 8.9 mm. So there should be no doubt as to which phone Verizon is offering. LG which got mixed or rather disappointing response for its earlier L-series mid-range smartphones now looks pretty serious for strengthening its market base in the entry-level and mid-range smartphone segment. K-series seems LG’s first attempt in this direction and if  truly LG K4 is heading for Verizon, then customers will get to enjoy a mid-range 4G smartphone with a reputed carrier.
