Blu is quite a productive company lately, as their two previous models launched last month, the Vivo Air and Pure XL are now followed by the Energy X and Studio Energy 2.
The Studio Energy 2 is the elder brother of the two, sold for $179 and the Energy X for $109, making both relatively low-budget devices. Blu’s two brand new installments to their repertoire are sold on Amazon US.
The Blu Studio Energy 2 is not the typical cheap phone you would expect it to be, coming with a stunning 5,000mAh battery that provides well for the 5.0-inch HD AMOLED display and the MediaTek 6735 quad-core CPU coupled with 1.5GB RAM. The Studio Energy 2 comes with a 16GB built-in memory that can be expanded via MicroSD. It currently runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, supports 4G LTE for high-speed connection and allows dual sim cards. Camera-wise the Studio Energy 2 is sold with an 8-megapixel main and a 5-megapixel selfie unit. We are very satisfied with its specs for a phone that costs $179.
The Blu Energy X is slightly weaker in some aspects, but not a typical cheap phone to say the least. Packed with a 4000mAh, the Energy X also comes with a quad-core MediaTek SoC with 8GB internal storage, 1GB of RAM, and a 5.0-inch HD display that is great for checking out the images and videos shot by its 8-megapixel main camera and the 2-megapixel front-facing selfie unit. The Blu Energy X also runs on Lollipop OS and is listed for $109.
Overall both phones are fantastic for their release price, and we definitely urge you to head over to Amazon US and order one now.
