Blizzard recently made biggest changes to Hearthstone in game’s history. They offered a new patch featuring two overly powered Cards that help climbing up the High-Rank Play and make it easy for the players. There are some major Changes coming to Hearthstone: Year of the Mammoth as well. Hearthstone: Year of the Mammoth will come out as this year’s first major Expansion and it will replace the previous expansion named as Year of the Kraken. This will introduce a new Standard format for HearthStone.
Classic Card will now be available in Wild format
There are rumors that Hearthstone: Year of the Mammoth will be based upon Dinosaur thematic. The cards from Blackrock Mountain, League of Explorers and Grand Tournament will now be exclusive in the Wild Format. Some Classic cards will allegedly be pushed out of the Standard format as well. These cards will be available in the Wild format in a newly formed Hall of Fame.
In total, Blizzard will be replacing six Classic cards out of Standard decks. Three 1-Cost Spells named as Power Overwhelming (Warlock), Ice Lance (Mage), Conceal (Rogue) will also be getting out of the Standard format. All these cards will be exclusively available in the Wild format.
Card Expansion Release Cycles
In Addition, blizzard will be adding 390 total cards. All of these Cards will be added in three different time cycles. The Expansion will contain 130 cards with the release, 130 Cards will be added in the middle of the year and the Last expansion at the end of the year will include 130 more cards. This card cycle will help blizzard deal with the Stagnating element and it will introduce a set of 45 unique cards for the Standard format.
Another major change that you’ll see in Hearthstone: Year of the Mammoth is the absence of the adventures. Adventures such as League of Explorers and Blackrock Mountain will be omitted. Instead, you’ll be able to enjoy a story based on the events those adventures.
A New Rogue Hero
A new rogue hero will also be added to the expansion. Blizzard also announced that a new rogue hero namely Maiev Shadowsong will be added to the game. This rogue hero will be available as an alternative to Valeera Sanguinar.
