After the silent release of BlackBerry Priv, the company’s first Android smartphone, it seems like BlackBerry is eager to extend its Android line-up. Pictures of a new BlackBerry phone are revolving on the web, and the supposedly-Android phone features a QWERTY keyboard that’s always visible, unlike the BlackBerry Priv’s slide-out keyboard.
Codenamed as BlackBerry Vienna, the first images of the phone have been revealed by CrackBerry. The Priv was earlier codenamed as Venice, which makes the Vienna sound more plausible, as both are the names of famous European cities and BlackBerry seems to fancy them. Coming to the BlackBerry Vienna, the phone looks like a player in the affordable segment, as it loses the premium feel of the Priv. The Vienna carries a lot of bezels and three physical Android buttons right over the keyboard. The images also reveal the front and rear cameras.
However, no more details are known about the BlackBerry Vienna. We also don’t know what its final name would be or when it will be released. But more details are bound to leak out soon, so stay tuned.
