The PS4 Pro is a little over a week from release, but so far, gamers haven’t really gotten a chance to see its new features with their own eyes. Thanks to Best Buy, that’ll be changing this weekend, as they’ll be having kiosks with the new system at their stores. 30 stores across the country will have it for people to play with this Saturday, Nov. 5, from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Still confused about whether or not you should get the PS4 Pro? Well, try it before you buy it at Best Buy
You will be able to play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on the PS4 Pro with an 85-inch 4K Sony TV and surround sound setup at the Best Buy store. From Battlefield 1 to Final Fantasy 15, tons of games are getting upgraded to the PS4 Pro. But it’s kind of understandable that you’d only need one game to decide whether the new console is worth it or not.
Unless a game is made to run at 60 fps on console, it’s very difficult you could see a 30 fps PS4 game upgraded to 60 fps. Yes, they’ve upgraded the system, but the CPU is still very weak, so the console would bottleneck anyway if you try to run those 30 fps games at 60 fps now, even on 1080p.
Even if all it does is standardize 1080p/60fps on all games its worth it. And on top of that upscaled 1080p to 4k is still a huge improvement for the games that do it. It’s more significant than the move from 720p to 1080p. We’re pretty sure games are still coming out on Xbox one at 720p (Titanfall 2) and ps4 is at 900p and ps4 pro will be at 1080p upscaled to 4k and steady at 60fps.
It’ll still be a cleaner resolution. And all the other performance upgrades will definitely still be noticeable, like lighting and shadow and anti-aliasing, fps, stuff like that. 4K TVs will also be equal to normal tv prices in a couple years. So, you’ll be ready.
