Battlefield 1 is out, it’s good but it’s definitely not for players who don’t take it seriously. Here are 5 things you absolutely need to know when starting a new game.
Squad leaders are very important in Battlefield 1
This is something that is criminally under-utilized and it’s squad leaders. Always mark your objectives. Not only is it helpful for the rest of your squad but you earn a lot of points for playing as Squad Leader.
Use the medal system
Every week the game will refresh with new medals that you can choose and commit to. They’re microchallenges within the game. Complete certain objectives like certain number of headshots etc.
The Companion app is useless, so don’t bother with it
At the moment it is a complete mess. There’s a bug in the app that resets your loadouts to default items. So, it resets all your pre-sets which means next time you’ll have to switch them back to your preferred options all over again.
Save your warbonds
You earn warbonds through leveling up your character. They are very limited. A lot of people blow them up right in the beginning on things that aren’t really important. Save them so you can spend them more wisely later on.
Vehicles have their own progression system as well
If you want to consistently level up a certain vehicle, you need to pay attention. Always choose an op for that vehicle whenever you can to level it up effectively. It’s the same for every character class.
