It is needless to say that ‘Avatar’ fans are deeply hurt once again like before when James Cameron announced that ‘Avatar 2’ won’t hit the big screen in 2018. This is not the first time the ‘Titanic’ director postponed the movie in the last eight years since the release of the first blockbuster movie in 2009. Now it looks like the science fiction movie lovers have gotten adapted to it.
In a recent conversation with CNN Money, James Cameron said that it is obviously going to have at least a ten year gap between ‘Avatar’ and ‘Avatar 2’ just like a gap of seven years between ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ and similar seven year gap between ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens.’ However, in the case of ‘Avatar 2,’ there are more sequels lined up with it and that’s why it is a sort of different concept with the audience.
Earlier we all had seen the returning of maximum characters from the original movie in ‘Avatar 2.’ Joel David Moore is now reported to have been brought back to the making of the sequel, who played the role of scientist Dr. Norm Spellman. Recall original movie in which Dr. Spellman was one of the characters who stayed behind the Na’vi, hence, his returning was highly expected in the sequel. He is said to reprise his role in the much-awaited sequel of the 2009 super hit science fiction movie.
A very important cast member is Sam Worthington who will reprise the role of Jake Sully. In the previous movie, he was one of the most people who a part of the Avatar program and eventually joined the Na’vi people after falling in love with Neytiri played by Zoe Saldana, another returning actor.
