Asus has added a new smartphone in its ever-expanding Zenfone 3 series. The Taiwanese company has launched its Zenfone 3 Max in the Indian market. The new smartphone comes in two variants, 5.5-inch (ZC553KL) and 5.2-inch (ZC520TL), which are priced at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 12,999 respectively.
The Asus Zenfone 3 (ZC553KL) Max sports a familiar design aesthetics in combination with strong build quality. The new smartphone sports a finely sandblasted full-metal, aluminum alloy-body with brilliant diamond cut chamfered edges. It comes with a 2.5D contoured glass touchscreen, that is surrounded by a slim, 2.25mm bezel. The new smartphone has a 75% screen to body ratio.
The Zenfone 3 Max features a 5.5-inch display with full HD [1920 x 1080 pixels] resolution. It also features a fingerprint sensor [placed on the back], that is integrated with the camera. It can register up to five separate fingerprints. The Zenfone 3 Max is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor with an Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
On the camera front, the Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL comes with a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and an electronic image stabilization (EIS) system. It also sports a triple technology auto focus system, that combines laser, phase detection and conventional contrast detection for continuous auto-focus, to provide a focus time of 0.03 seconds. It also features an 8MP front camera.
The phone is backed by a huge 4100mAh battery, that offers up to 38 days of standby time on 4G, 17 hours of talk time on 3G, 72 hours of music playback, 18 hours of video playback, and 19 hours of Wi-Fi Web browsing. It comes with OTG cable for reverse charging and File Transfer. The new smartphone also offers five power modes to increase battery life – Performance mode, Normal mode, Power saving mode, Super Saving mode and Customized mode.
On the other hand, the Zenfone 3 Max 5.2 (ZC520TL) sports a 5.2-inch display with HD [1280 x 720 pixels] resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor with a Mali T720 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2-aperture and a 5MP front camera. The smaller variant is also backed by a 4100mAh battery, that offers up to 30 days of standby, 20 hours of talk time on 3G, 18 hours of Wi-Fi browsing on 4G/LTE, 87 hours of music playback and 15 hours of video playback.
While the Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL is available from today, across all the major E-tailers and Retailers in India, the Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL will be available by November end. Both models run Android Marshmallow OS with ZenUI 3.0 on top and come in three stunning metallic color options – Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold.
