ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is finally on sale in Taiwan. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the world’s first Snapdragon 821 powered smartphone. The 5.7-inch smartphone has been priced at around $800 [approx. INR 54,000]. It comes in Silver and Gold colour options. The Silver version starts shipping from September 12th, while the Gold version ships from September 23rd.
Apart from the Qualcomm CPU, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe model features 6GB of RAM, and Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with huge 256GB of on-board UFS 2.0 storage. The UFS storage is much faster than the standard eMMC on most smartphones. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 OS with Zen UI 3.0 on top.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD resolution screen. It sports a 23MP Sony IMX318 camera with OIS, laser auto-focus, and an RGB color sensor. There is also an 8MP front camera on-board. Connectivity features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter with MU-MIMO, and a Cat.13 LTE modem. The dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Fast Charging 3.0 support. It also features a fingerprint scanner and a Type-C USB port.
The powerful smartphone is asking for a huge price that might knock out your budget. At whopping $800, the new smartphone is even costlier than the iPhone 7, which is priced at $649. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 has been rated as around 10% more powerful than the Snapdragon 820. This makes ZenFone 3 Deluxe probably the most powerful smartphone on paper as of now. We’ll have to wait and see how it fares in the market.
