Not even a couple of days have passed since Qualcomm announced its latest and fastest chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and here we’ve got the first flagship device donning the same. Yep, you heard us right, the Taiwanese smartphone maker just announced a Snapdragon 821 variant of its flagship device, ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe.
The Snapdragon 821 features the same quad-core Kryo cluster as its predecessor Snapdragon 820, but with a considerable increase of 10% in performance. The performance core cluster now clocks at a higher 2.4GHz, while the power cluster has been boosted to 2.0 GHz. The Adreno 530 GPU also now clocks at a higher speed.
As we had told you earlier, the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe was launched a few weeks back with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood. ASUS has now announced the Zenfone 3 Deluxe with the Snapdragon 821 SoC in three variants. The top of the line variant will feature 6GB of RAM along with 256GB UFS 2.0 storage, while the other two variants will feature 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 4GB RAM/32GB internal storage.
The rest of the spec-sheet remains unchanged with a 5.7-inch FHD display, a 23MP rear / an 8MP front camera configuration, a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support, fingerprint sensor, Android Marshmallow with the latest ZenUI on top, USB Type-C, dual-SIMs among various other notable features.
The top-of-the-line model of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe has been priced TWD 24,990 (approx. $776), the 128GB model will cost TWD 17,990 (approx. $559), while the 32GB model carries a price tag of TWD 15,990 ($497).
