Normally, Apple only has two events per year, one in autumn and one in summer. However, in the last couple of years, the company has introduced a new season in its product releases, the Apple Spring event.

Apple Spring Event

While this year’s Apple Spring event will not be something of a big deal, experts are still expecting new products to get added to the current inventory. Chances are, the said spring event will not involve the usual fanfare that Apple does when it releases a new product. Instead, the low-key event will be in the form of an Apple Store update.

According to Mac World, the Apple Store will be out of commission starting today at around 9 am. This will run until around 12.30pm on the same day. While the reason is quite unclear, many suspect that Apple will be doing a major update to its online inventory. That being said, here are the things to expect once the website is up and running again.

iPhone SE and iPad Pro 2

It has long been rumored that Apple will release an updated version of its famous iPhone SE. According to earlier reports, the phone will now be introduced with a much bigger storage than before.

In addition to the iPhone SE, it is likely that Apple will also launch the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2. This new version of the tablet will have the same design features but with a more powerful hardware. As for the other iPad Pro 2 models, rumor has it that they will be introduced sometime in April or June.

iMac and 12-inch MacBook

It seems like Apple has completely neglected the iMac. Since its last update, nothing much has changed on the mighty all-in-one desktop. While new improvements are quite murky at the moment, many still hope that Apple will finally give the iMac a proper overhaul that it needs.

The biggest update on the original MacBook was done back in 2015. At the time, the laptop was redesigned and given just one USB Type-C port. While it is hard to imagine what other aesthetic improvements Apple might throw into the MacBook, there is a chance that it will only get internal upgrades. Perhaps a new Intel Kaby Lake processor will be showcased in the said Apple Spring event.

iOS 10.3 and 11

There is a rather slim chance that iOS 11 will be included in the rumored spring event. Chances are, the new iOS version will be introduced in June during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2017). On the other hand, there is a slightly higher chance that an incremental iOS update may be announced.

Unfortunately, Apple remained mum about the said rumor. The only way to really know if this is true is to wait and see.
