The year 2015-2016 has been a mixed-bag kind of a year for Apple when considering the major hardware and software releases the company gave us. The Cupertino giant got disappointment from the iPhone 6S, launched the iPhone SE, is working on iOS 9.3.2, released the MacBook (2016), and will be launching the MacBook Pro (2016) soon with the iPhone 7 release scheduled for September.

There are so many things that Apple did or is going to do that Apple fans must know about. So let’s take the facts one by one.

Apple-Fine

iPhone 6S Failed to Bring in the Expected Revenue

In a previous report, we told you that Apple sold a lesser number of iPhone 6S smartphones than the iPhone 6 last year, which has happened for the first time. The company has expressed that the figures have been disappointing, and the adoption rate for the iPhone 6S has been lower than the previous iteration. The reason behind this might be the un-uniqueness of the 6S over the iPhone 6, and people might be waiting for the iPhone 7 to make a huge upgrade.

Apple is Happy With the iPhone SE’s Sales

While industry experts are claiming that the sales figures of the iPhone SE are lackluster, Apple has altogether a different story to tell. The Cupertino company is saying that even though the SE isn’t a reason for excitement for the existing iPhone users, the premium 4-inch smartphone is garnering attention from first-time iPhone buyers who are also the target segment for the phone. Apple has stated that the demand of the iPhone SE is outrunning its supply, so it’s clearly a good release for the company.

iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak Awaited as Apple is Releasing New Betas

The last jailbreak release was when Pangu came out with the iOS 9.1 jailbreak, and since then, we have seen nothing exciting happening in the jailbreak scenario. All the hackers and jailbreak teams have suddenly gone quiet, which might give way to a large surprise later (we hope).

While iOS 9.3.2 is the latest and most stable version and is free of almost all the bugs iOS 9.3 was plagued with, it is still in its beta phase and will be released this month finally to the public. It is being said that the iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak release will happen before WWDC 2016, which is being held from 13th to 17th June.

iPhone 7 Isn’t Going to Be Exciting

While iPhone fans will remain fans, not all of them are happy with the predictions made by popular analysts of the industry. The predictions suggest that Apple will keep the same design in the iPhone 7 as the iPhone 6 and 6S, except a few possible changes like the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack, waterproof and dustproof body, and a dual camera setup for the iPhone 7 Pro/Plus. Instead, it is being said that Apple will introduce lots and lots of changes in the iPhone 8 that will come out in 2017, so there will be no iPhone 7S according to the rumors.

MacBook Pro 2016 Coming With Huge Improvements

While Apple has given a significant update to its last year’s MacBook and the new MacBook 2016 is a laptop worth every buck, most of us are waiting for the 2016 MacBook Pro. It is being said that the new notebook will be launched at the WWDC 2016 event in June, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.

Apple has already started reducing the prices of the current MacBook Pro and Air, thus hinting towards an imminent launch. The new MacBook Pro (2016) is expected to come with new Skylake processors, thinner and lighter design than the MacBook Air, and more connectivity ports. It is rumored that the Air series will be shut after the new Pro’s release.

iOS 10 and New Mac OS Will Bring Exciting New Features

At the upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Apple is expected to unveil the next version of its mobile operating system, the iOS 10. Nothing is known yet about the OS, but we are sure that Apple will pack a lot of exciting features in it to make it the best iOS version till date. Also, it is being said that OS X will be renamed to Mac OS again to go well with the series- tvOS, watchOS, iOS, and so on.

iPhone 8 to Get a Major Overhaul

As we said before, Apple might not bring any major visual changes to the iPhone 7. Instead, the company will give apply all its latest plans and new technologies to the iPhone 8 in 2017. It is being said that the iPhone 8 might come with an all-glass body and no home button. The Touch ID will be integrated in the display itself. We also expect better camera setup, more RAM, waterproof and dustproof design, and much more.

So that was a brief take on all the latest Apple happenings and future releases from the company. Do leave your comments below.
