Google has just released an update for the Pixel Launcher in the play store for Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. The search giant introduced the Pixel Launcher alongside new Pixel phones in August this year. Google plans to make the launcher available for other smartphones in coming months. This latest update bumps the app to version 7.1.1.
What’s new in Pixel Launcher 7.1.1
The update has just started hitting Pixel devices and is still pretty new. At the time of writing, no new changelog was associated with the release so we are posting the last one again. In case, we notice any change, we will update this space:
The weather appears in the top right corner for your current location
Visual refresh of wallpaper picker
New circular folder presentation
Shortcuts on long-press of supporting apps

Swipe right from your home screen to see personalized Google cards that bring you news and personalized information, at just the right time.
Quick access to Google Search on your primary home screen.
Swipe up on the bottom Favorites row to find your apps from A-Z.
App Suggestions bring the app you’re looking for to the top of your A-Z list.
Long-press on apps that support shortcuts to jump right into where you need to go or long-press on the shortcuts to drag them to the home screen.
