Google On got released last year, along with the OnHub. OnHub stuck in the past, while the app experienced massive changes, with its UI getting a facelift. The result is called Google WiFi, the latest router solution from the software (and of recently, a hardware) giant.
Devices aren’t available yet, expect them very soon, though. You’ll be able to get them via online shops, as well through physical stores. The On Hub app got updated in order to prepare for the arrival of the new hardware, and although it got changed in more than one way, it is still recognizable.
The interface changed a lot. On top of the UI, you can now find three tabs, allowing you a quick and easy access to the app’s functions, not like the Google On, which made accessing various functions pretty complex and not very user-friendly. Oh, the app also features a new icon that certainly won’t take any design award.
Aside from supporting Google WiFi, the app also allows you to manage your network’s OnHub devices, even allowing for you to add Google WiFi devices and mesh with OnHub devices. Additionally, the app supports Family WiFi, giving you means to disable web access for certain devices. You can set a daily schedule or can disable web access manually.
As reported by Android Police, the update is rolling out on the Play Store at the moment, but if you want to get the updated app now, you can download the APK file from APK Mirror.
