Facebook has been on a song in last two weeks or so. They are releasing continuous updates to all of their mobile apps whether it be Facebook Lite or Facebook or Facebook Messenger. Today, the company updated the beta build of their Messenger app which brings it to the version number 78.0.0.9.70.
There isn’t much difference in terms of new features added or deleted. The update does not add any new features and the changelog remains the same too. That said, there might be fixes internally.
The new update will be for devices coupled with arm processor and running Android Lollipop 5.0 and above. You won’t receive the beta update if you are normal Facebook Messenger app user on Google Play Store. You need to enroll yourself as a beta tester in the Google Play Store forum to start getting all beta updates from Google Play. Also, the update will be rolled incrementally and it definitely takes some time to reach your location and device, meanwhile, if you can’t wait for the update to arrive, you can download the APK file from mirror hosting sites such as apkmirror.com, APKPolice.com.
