Samsung has finally published the much-awaited schedule for Android 7.0 Nougat update of its Galaxy smartphones. The schedule indicates the release date of software for all eligible Galaxy handsets and tablets through the end of 2017. It includes the likes of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Note 5, S6 edge+, the older Galaxy A and J series and Galaxy Tabs.

Just a few days back, Samsung Electronics Vice President in Turkey, Tansu Yeğen, tweeted about the timeline for the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update, to be deleted later. But, now before the tech websites taking note of the schedule and eligible devices.

And now the same has been stamped with Samsung Turkish division publishing the similar timeline of all Samsung devices expected to be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat through the rest of 2017.

The best thing coming out of the latest scheduling news is the addition of some extra galaxy handsets. It includes Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7 Active, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8. Now the upgrade list also includes the Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7 from both 2016 and 2015, as well as the Galaxy On7 and Galaxy J7 Prime.

First up, The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge Android 7.0 Nougat update is now scheduled to be released on Feb. 27, followed by the Note 5 on March 6, and the Galaxy S6 edge+ on March 13.

The Galaxy A (2016) series will see the Android 7.0 roll out in April and May, with older generation A3, A5, and A7 getting the same in July. After that, the update will rollout to J Series from July and November.

Coming to the tablets, the Galaxy Tab S2 variants will get Android 7.0 Nougat in May, with the Tab A versions receiving it in July this year.

Even though the mentioned dates apply to Turkey only, they definitely paint a clear picture of when to expect the next update for Galaxy smartphones.
