Google has been working hard on launching its next-gen operating system, Android Marshmallow 6.0, and its developers have left no stone unturned on enhancing its capabilities.

Till date we have come across three developer previews, but they have all been ousted. It’s high time that the final release hits the doorstep.

android marshmallow update for nexus smartphones, release dateA few days back Telus, Canada’s telecom provider had given input about the launch. Now Android Police strongly claims that the roll out will hit the devices on 5th of October. This happens to begin with the Nexus devices, Google’s premier smartphones.

The gadgets lined up to get the update include LG Nexus 5, Motorola Nexus 6, Asus Nexus 7(2013), HTC Nexus 9 and Asus Nexus Player.

That’s indeed fascinating news for all Nexus holders. The story also suggests that older LG Nexus 4, Asus Nexus 7(2012) and Samsung Nexus 10 shall not receive any more official Android updates from Google from this point on. The final code for the Marshmallow 6.0 shall be shelled out to the Android Open source Project (AOSP) on October 5. Google shall confirm the rollout timeframe once again at its Marshmallow themed event scheduled for tomorrow, where it will also unveil LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P.
