The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is almost ready and Google has sent out invites for a themed event at San Francisco Bay area on the September 29, according to a report by Engadget.
This event marks the debut of the new operating system, Android 6.0, along with Google’s upmarket hardware. It also features the launch of the duo Nexus smartphones made by LG and Huawei. As reported earlier, the devices will be called the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P. Both the launches are indeed unique and people are eager to get the ‘Marshmallow’ upgrade and to see the prime features of the new operating system.
When it comes to the specifications of the Nexus smartphones, the LG Nexus 5X will contain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 2GB of RAM, a 1080p display, a 12.3MP main camera and – a new enhancement – a fingerprint scanner.
The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, is rumored to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, an astonishing 3GB of RAM and a whopping 5.7-inch display. The new smartphone will be Huawei’s first Nexus device.
An updated version of Chromecast is also expected to make an appearance at the event. A blurry image (below) of the device leaked out earlier today by 9to5 google.
So let’s wait for the new era of an OS upgrade and everything else Google has in store for us!
