Several flagship devices are still awaiting the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, while Google has already started the next patch update – Android 6.0.1 – for the Android One range of smartphones. According to current reports, the update is currently available for Cherry Mobile One G1 smartphone, which is available in Philippines.
Android 6.0.1 upgrade doesn’t bring any new enhancements to the table, it is most likely to contain bug fixes and stability improvements, according to Androidbeat. LlabTooFeR, an Android developer has confirmed the roll-out in a tweet, along with a screenshot of the update. From the screenshot, it is clearly visible that Google has merged its December security patch with the latest update Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

It is not yet confirmed whether other Android One smartphones have already received the update, and there are no reports on this. If you are using other smartphones and have received the Android 6.0.1 update notification, do not miss to share it with us.
Cheers!
