By this time most flagships are already running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and it’s about time OEM’s turn their attention to updating their older and budget friendly models to the latest version of Android. We have news that HTC, LG and Motorola will be releasing Android 5.1.1 update for some of their devices this month.
First up is Motorola whose Moto G is receiving the update. The unlocked LTE version of the device has already been updated on July 9. However, The Moto G LTE devices that are connected to a specific network will receive the update as according to their network’s schedule. We must also mention that Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile have already release the 5.1.1 update for the Moto X and those who still have not received it may update their phones manually.
On the other hand, HTC have already updated the One M9 Developer Edition to Android 5.1.1 on July 4. The 800MB update has changed the phone’s software version to 2.6.651.11. The update is accompanied by phone-specific patches to fix the alleged camera software issue and focuses on automatic exposure to allow users to take quality photo in both bright and low-light conditions.
Next up we have news from LG and G2 owners can rejoice because their device is going to receive the update to Android 5.1.1 soon. The G2 will be upgraded directly from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 skipping out 5.1.
LG G Stylo and Leon on T-Mobile have already been updated on July 3. Also, the G flex 2 has already received an upgrade to 5.1.1 as we reported last month.
