The AMD Ryzen CPU line is still weeks away from being released, but the number of leaks coming is crazy! The last leak showed how the 6 core/12 thread 1600X from the new Ryzen line managed to post slightly higher score than the Intel i7 6800K in the Cinebench R15 benchmark.

The 1600X is a 6 core/12 thread CPU with a base clock of 3.3 GHz and a Turbo clock of 3.7 GHz. The CPU has 95W TDP rating, and the CPU is unlocked for overclocking.

As you can see from the graph (thanks to Anandtech and WCCFTech) the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X scored slightly higher than the Intel Core i7 6800K In the Cinebench R15 multi-threaded benchmark. Since the Core i7 6800K sells for $430, it is cool to see a CPU with the price of $260 beating the much more expensive solution from Intel.

Let’s not forget that the i7 6800K has a 100 MHz slower base clock and much higher TDP rating (140W compared to 1600X’s 95W) making the result even more impressive. The Ryzen CPU line should come during early March, bringing lots of choices.

Up from the top of the line Ryzen 7 1800X (8 cores/16 threads 95W, 3.6 GHz base clock) with a price of $499 to the Ryzen 3 1100 (4 cores/4 threads, 65W, 3.2 GHz) AMD prepared something for everyone.
