After a wait of quite some time, we might finally be able to see the high-end custom AMD Vega cards. A handful of images have leaked that show a custom AMD Vega 64 GPU from Sapphire in all its glory. With its images already out, one can expect the card to go official pretty soon.

The images come from HardwareBattle (via VideoCardz) which was provided with an early version of the card. The final product can be slightly different but it would be more or less the same.

Jumping straight to the details, the first thing you will notice is the fan setup on the card. The Vega 64 Sapphire Nitro uses three fans, of which two are 95mm and the one in the middle is 85mm. This is an improvement over the company’s previous implementations where three 90mm fans were used.

This model will also be using LED lighting around the two larger fans, as seen in the image. VideoCardz’s report adds that the Nitro Vega 64 will take three slots on the motherboard while the bracket is for two slots. There are no DVI ports on the card, what you will get are a couple of DisplayPorts and two HDMI ports as well.

Triple 8-pin connectors can also be seen in one of the images. The card also seems to sport a PCIe support bracket which means the card might be quite heavy. The bracket shall protect the PCIe slots from getting damaged by the weight of the card itself.

It is worth noting that the sample Nitro Rx Vega card used by HardwareBattle is running at the default clock speeds of RX Vega 64. We don’t know yet how the factory overclocked would be like but it will be released, that’s for sure. As mentioned in the report, the marginally better performance is due to the better cooling system used.
