Airtel is gearing up to take the fight with Reliance Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer. The biggest network in the country will soon announce a plan offering 1 GB data per day with free calling for 70 days. In total, 70 GB of mobile internet.
The information came in form of a tweet from telecom blogger, Sanjay Bafna, who is known for his accuracy as far as the Indian telecom industry is concerned. Bafna said that just like Jio, Airtel too will launch two plans of 1 GB data per day and 2 GB data per day. He also noted that new plans are targetted directly towards Reliance’s Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.

It’s an interesting tariff plan, to say the least, but however, the new deal is only applicable to select users with 4G sim and 4G-enabled handsets only. Both Airtel and Vodafone have come up similar exciting offers earlier, but only a select users got the message. In fact, you will find it hard to spot new deals on their website or apps.
Just to remind, Reliance Jio came up with “Jio Dhan Dhana Offer” after the “Summer Surprise” deal was retracted on directions from TRAI. The Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is pretty similar to Summer Surprise, offering free internet and voice calls for next three months. Airtel hasn’t liked the launch of new scheme from Jio and said the following:
“We are surprised to see what Jio is doing. It violates the spirit of the TRAI directive and essentially continues with a similar plan now masquerading under a different name. This is a classic example of old wine in a new bottle,”
While the telecom industry is marred with new complaints every day from one operator to other, customers are definitely witnessing great deals and offer at their disposal. It will be interesting to see which operator finally manages to remain on top.
