In past three months, Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Acer has not unveiled a single device but it looks like this lull will be broken soon as one device has been spotted while it was getting benchmarked.
Here the device in talk is Acer S59 with a 13MP front snapper which will be a treat for selfie lovers and will be a tough contender to the selfie oriented phones such as Asus Zenfone Selfie, the HTC Desire Eye, and the Micromax Canvas Selfie. All these smartphones have a 13MP front facing camera alongwith frontal flash.
As the front snapper is capable of recording 4K videos, it will be a huge hit among the selfie obsessed generation. Acer S59 features a 5inch 720p touchscreen, and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 SoC onboard. It will house a 1.3GHz Octa-core Cortes-A53 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. With 13MP rear camera it will also adorn a LED flash. It will have an Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
It is not clear till now whether it will be called as S59 or will adorn a different name during launch. But as the smartphone has paid a visit to benchmark site, we can expect it to be available in the market soon.
