9 days ago, we have reported that Gionee Elife E8 will be able to produce 100MP images with 23MP rear camera and 2 days ago we have reported that the camera is world’s faster than fastest. Now there is one more interesting add-on feature of the camera which is known as Lossless zoom. The company has released the below image mentioning the Lossless Zoom on the upcoming phone.
Unlike digital zoom, where simply to enlarge the picture there is always a tradeoff with the image quality, in Lossless zoom the image is magnified to a certain extent that the loss of image quality due to zoom is hardly seen. Lossless zoom is scientifically not a factual statement, but it is a very good method to evade the requirement of an optical zoom. Rather than putting together an optical zoom images, the sensor just takes in a surplus information and stitch together in a way that it guides you to no obvious loss in quality. (if you want to know more about Lossless Zoom, phoneArena has a good post on the topic)
Just two days back, we found the first image of Gionee E8, which gave us an idea about the metal unibody and dedicated camera shutter button. Today we have got another image giving complete rear view of the phone, which shows the placement of mic, camera, fingerprint sensor and speaker. On the top there is 3.5mm jack and the charging port is at the bottom of the phone.
With 8MP front snapper, it is powered by MediaTek MT6795 chipset and 2.0GHz octa-core processor. Gionee Elife E8 has AMOLED display with 2K resolution and probably 6inch screen. It houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage which is pretty much as per the current standards of new smartphones. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop it will adorn Amigo 3.0UI and will come in a size of 164×82.3×9.6 mm and 207g of weight.
