OnePlus have started its journey with well-known OnePlus One smartphone running Cyanogen OS but that was limited to international markets. The Chinese variant of its handset was running OPPO’s ColorOS. After getting in to legal argument for Cyanogen OS, the company figured out that it would be healthier to start with a new OS for their phones. Then new OS named as OxygenOS came to the effect for its global variant.
This time the Chinese model will get a new OS, dubbed HydrogenOS, which will be announced in Beijing, China on May 28th. It is anticipated that the new HydrogenOS will also be lightweight system with spotlight on battery life and performance, similar to Oxygen OS. Based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, it is expected that there will be some twist and tricks to make a distinction it from vanilla Android.
