Samsung is looking to enlarge its Galaxy J series lineup with two mid range apparatus – J7 and J5. The Galaxy J1 smartphone was started by the company in February in India.
Samsung has already trademarked the name – J7 and J5. Now specs of both the upcoming handsets has been revealed by SamMobile.
The Galaxy J5 (SM J500F) is said to come with a 5.0-inch High Definition TFT LCD screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) central processing unit, paired with 1.5GB of RAM. It will pack 8GB expandable storage, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front shooter, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 is expected to sport a 5.5 inch HD TFT LCD screen with 13 megapixel front and 5 megapixel rear camera. It will pack an octa-core 1.2 or 1.5GHz Marvel PXA1936 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 4/8GB built-in memory (expandable), and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will support 4G LTE connectivity and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
When it comes to measurement, the Galaxy J7 is 7.9mm thick and weigh 170g, while the Galaxy J5 measures 8.5mm thick and 149g. There is no info on the availability and pricing of both the phones.
