As we are getting closer to the launch of Radeon RX Vega, the leaks are giving us a final look at the product. Earlier today we got to see the unboxing of these graphics card from AMD and now the 3DMark benchmark test of the card has surfaced online to reveal a few more details.
The benchmark comes straight from Videocardz. As per the publication, the benchmark was performed on the sample units sent to the reviewers with final drivers. 3DMark FireStrike, 3DMark FireStrike Extreme, 3DMark FireStrike Ultra and 3DMark TimeSpy were the tests performed and the results have been compared with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, GeForce GTX 1080, and GeForce 1070 to give you a better idea how the AMD cards fair against them.

In the general term, you’d notice that the RX Vega was ahead or close behind the GTX 1080 graphics card. It wouldn’t be wise to compare Vega with the GTX 1080 Ti as it isn’t meant to compete with the mighty offering and Nvidia will be leading the segment for a little longer. The numbers are amazing for the Fire Strike Ultra where the AMD card is significantly ahead of the GTX 1080 for both stock clock and when overclocked.
The benchmarks make it clear that AMD is positioning RX Vega 64 against the GTX 1080 and has managed to achieve seeing these scores. When you take into consideration the GTX 1070, Vega is miles ahead of it and it is evident from the significant difference between the scores of the two.
