Game of Thrones Season 7 cast Aidan Gillen’s Littlefinger aka Petyr Baelish is likely to continue exploring his relation with Sansa Stark. In a new update, he has teased that “watching her grow in stature is quite enjoyable.”
Game of Thrones Season 6 has wrapped up on a note where Littlefinger expresses his romantic interest in Sansa Stark. Although the latter responds in the not positive way to his proposal, they both have always used each other.
Actor Gillen says, “They’re onto each other. They use each other. They enjoy each other. And they keep a lot from each other,” he continues, There are all kinds of mixed things going on with Littlefinger and his relationship with Sansa, so watching her grow in stature is quite enjoyable” reported Entertainment Weekly.
One cannot forget the secret motive of Littlefinger throughout his journey in Season 6. That is to have the Iron Throne with Sansa as his queen. But for this to happen he needs Sansa’s support. And he is partially sowing seeds of hatred in the mind of Sansa against her brother Jon Snow.
Gillen says about his motives that, “We’re playing out that final exchange in the Great Hall in Winterfell.” He adds, “…But the same time my character is becoming quite aware that Sansa is becoming as bright as me and just as wary of my manipulations of her,“ as per the aforementioned source.
Will his secret motive force him to kill Sansa if she comes in his way of acquiring the Iron Throne? The actor who plays Littlefinger says,” His plans are never fail safe. But he puts himself on the line like a good gambler.” This is something to look forward to in Game of Thrones Season 7.
