It seems like “Plus” variants are the trends nowadays. Even if the regular variant boasts of a significant 5.5-inch display or above, a Plus version is warranted. After announcing the Oppo R11, the regular variant with 5.5-Inch screen estate a few days, Oppo is back with Oppo R11 Plus with a bigger display and battery.
Oppo R11 Plus Specifications
What’s bigger than 5.5-Inch? 6-Inches, and that’s what Oppo R11 Plus houses as a display. It’s a Full HD AMOLED panel with curved glass sheet on top powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip. Oppo has also increased the battery level to 4000 mAh (with VOOC Flash charging). The Plus variant houses 6 GB RAM, 2 Gigs more than the regular one with same internal storage. Just like the R11, this one too uses second sim slot for storage expansion up to 256 Gigabyte via micro-SD card.
Things get interesting on the rear end with dual camera setup. A 16MP sensor behind a bright f/1.7 aperture is the backbone of the system, aided by a telephoto (2x magnification) 20MP camera (f/2.6). For lenses, Oppo has gone with Sony IMX398 and IMX350 sensors respectively. One can record 4K video with either of the back cameras – wide-angle and telephoto. On the front is a capable 20MP selfie camera (f/2.0).
The design remains similar to the regular variant with unibody and concealed antenna lines. It’s just 7.8 mm thick and weighs 188g, decent for a six-inch device.
Launch Date and Pricing for the Oppo R11 Plus will be announced soon. Stay tuned.
