Samsung is now rumored to be working on the stylus-enabled Galaxy Note 8 phablet that is speculated to debut in August this year. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge came with 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch screens. However, the all new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are packed with larger screens of 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch. The Galaxy Note 8 is speculated to come with even larger display screen than what’s present on Galaxy S8+. Based on the rumored specs and features, DBS Designing has come with a render of Galaxy Note 8.
Samsung introduced the Infinity Display feature on the Galaxy S8 duo. It is nothing but a new large-sized dual edge curved display that occupies a major portion of the front panel with very less top and bottom bezels. As it can be seen in the concept video of the Galaxy Note 8, the phablet also features Infinity Display of 6.4 inches and it carries support for Quad HD+ resolution like the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones. It means the display may support a resolution of 1,440 x 2,960 and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
Even though the Galaxy Note 8 has a dual edge screen, its sides do not curve as much as they do on Galaxy S8. The left and right sides are almost difficult to make out in the image. Despite featuring slim bezels, the Galaxy Note 8 concept has a pair of 13-megapixels at the top which also houses an iris scanner and an ambient sensor.
As rumors have been hinting, the Galaxy Note 8 concept shows the presence of a vertically arranged dual rear camera of 16-megapixel. Rumors are claiming that like the Galaxy S8 duo, the Note 8’s rear-mounted fingerprint reader would be placed on the right side of the rear camera module. However, Galaxy Note 8 concept has it repositioned below the LED flash so that it can be accessed easily.
Other specs include 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. It also features a microSD card slot and a USB Type-C port is also available on it. It is packed with a 4,000 mAh battery that carries support for fast charging. The Galaxy Note 8 concept is preloaded with Android 8.0 OS and it is equipped with a water-resistant chassis.
