After successfully rolling out the Nougat firmware for S6 edge+ and Note5, Verizon is now catering to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners. The US carrier has started seeding the latest software update for the said devices with Android 7.0 Nougat underneath.
The newest release will bump your S6 and S6 edge devices to NRD90M.G920VVRS4DQD1 and NRD90M.G925VVRS4DQD1 software versions, respectively.

Android 7.0 Nougat software bring a host of new features to the Galaxy devices. This includes revamped UI, a new battery management page, better multi-tasking via Multi-window feature, better keyboard, and much more. And on top of that, there are regular bug fixes and performance improvements to the OS. It’s an important update and the one you shouldn’t skip.
In case you haven’t got the update notification, visit the settings section of your smartphone, and head to About >> Software update. Tap on the download button to initiate the new software installation process. If you can’t notice the update, fret not, try again after a day or two.
Just to remind, both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge were launched in 2015, hence, it’s good to see Samsung and carriers sticking with the two-year update cycle for the flagship offerings at least.
