For many years now, Xiaomi has made its name as a phone manufacturer that provides good quality mobile devices on the cheap. Last year, the company released its popular Redmi 4 and 4A and has since garnered a lot of followers. Now, fans of the brand can expect a new Redmi 4 family member coming very soon, the Redmi 4X.
The announcement actually came from Xiaomi’s own online store, the Xiaomi Mall. According to the website, the ultra-cheap Redmi 4X will become available from its store starting March 3rd at 12 am. The smartphone also supports all major networks including 4G and LTE as well as hybrid dual SIM feature. The standard version of the Redmi 4X will have a system memory of 2GB and internal flash storage of 32GB. Meanwhile, the high-end version of the phone will sport a 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal flash.
When it comes to imaging, the rear camera is a 13-megapixel sensor while the front one is a 5-megapixel snapper. Both models will run on Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 user interface based on the Android operating system.
The Redmi 4X will be available in three different colors, Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold, and Matte Black. At the moment, the Redmi 4X will be initially available in China. There are no updates yet on when it will arrive in other markets like India and the rest of the world. However, consumers can expect the Redmi 4X to be released to other markets pretty soon.
