If you visit a certain page on the Windows App Store you may find an interesting app from Samsung. Called “Book Settings,” the app is clearly made for yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy Book Windows 10 device.
On the app’s page, you can see the description of the app that reads “Install ‘Book Settings’ which includes Battery Life Extender, Screen mode, Pattern Log-in, User manual, and other Samsung features,” explaining that “Book Settings is an application for Galaxy Book. It may not function normally on other devices.”
Since there are many rumors talking about the, still unannounced, Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 tablet, which should be revealed pretty soon. But since Samsung launched a Windows 10 app for the “Galaxy Book,” could the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 instead be the Galaxy Book?
Since the app was found on the Windows app store, it is pretty clear the device will be based on Windows 10. Further, a quick look at the screenshot of the app reveals that the future device will sport a pen and an AMOLED display.
We could assume that, since the device is called Galaxy Book, it could be a 2-in-1 device sporting a stylus support and rotating screen. On the other hand, the Galaxy TabPro S, a device the Galaxy Book should replace, is a tablet with a keyboard cover, so the Book might sport a classic tablet form factor.
Samsung used Galaxy branding exclusively for Android devices, but since the last year’s Galaxy TAbPro S sports Windows, as well as the upcoming Galaxy Book, we may assume that Samsung will use the Galaxy branding for all future mobile devices, no matter which OS they run.
