Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be the last card sporting the famous and the well-established Pascal architecture. Nvidia is all set to show off its next GPU architecture dubbed Volta this year. As such, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will make an attempt to bridge the gap between the powerful GTX 1080 and the mighty flagship Titan X.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Features
According to reports, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is expected to come with 10GB of GDDR5 VRAM that fits neatly between GTX 1080’s 8 GB and Titan X’s 12 GB. The new card will be short of 256 CUDA cores compared to the Titan X, but the clock speed will be higher (1,623MHz vs. 1,531MHz on the Titan X, with boost reaching up to 1,733 MHz). The compute power of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is expected at 10,696GFlops. It looks like GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will not come with GDDR5X that featured both on the GTX 1080 and GTC Titan X. It’ll instead go with GDDR5 featuring 348-bit memory bandwidth.
GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is also expected to provide enough power needed to achieve a stable 60 fps in 4K resolution. With an expected price tag between $650 and $1200, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti may be more expensive than the GTX 1080 and less expensive than the Titan X.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti release date
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be released during PAX East 2017, scheduled to start in just about a month from now – March 10, 2017, in Boston. PAX is a show exclusively for gaming that draws tens of thousands of attendees every year. This could very well be the right forum for releasing the much-anticipated last-of-the-Pascal-architecture card – the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
