Tech industry moves at a very fast rate and the testament to the fact is iOS 11 news and leaks. Even though Apple is far away from releasing the next installment of its mobile operating system, iOS 11, rumors have already started appearing for the same.
The next generation of iPhone will mark the tenth anniversary and is expected to be something special. And with Apple having the habit of announcing the new OS besides a new phone, iOS 11 is expected to be a spectacle too.
Right now, there is no scheduled release date for the next iteration of iOS platform, but we can expect the same to be around September when the company releases a new iPhone. The next OS release too will be compatible with most older generation devices that include most of the old iPhones and iPads.
iOS 11 Features – What’s New
With the release and other details out of the window, let’s find out what we can expect from the upcoming iOS 11 this year.
First up, there are many rumors suggesting an introduction of the group calling feature for the FaceTime application. It is one of the most requested features by the users and this time Apple might fulfill the same. This feature will allow a maximum of five users to have simultaneous video conferencing. It was reported by an Israeli site The Verifier, which cited sources familiar with iOS 11 development.
If this happens, it will be a big news for the iOS and Mac users. FaceTime is one of the best and most used features of the Apple platform, however, it hasn’t changed a little since its inception in 2010. Still, nothing is confirmed from the Cupertino end so don’t get your hopes too high. A feature in development might or might not see the daylight on the production ring.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope Apple announces some great new features for iOS 11 in September this year.
