The ongoing telecom war initiated by the launch of Reliance Jio is getting hotter by the day. To counter the threats posed by Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer and Airtel’s lucrative data plans, Vodafone has launched equally exciting deals in the new year.
The seasoned operator, Vodafone, has announced a new plan which offers prepaid 4G users four times the data benefits without raising the prices of the data recharge packs. This means that a 150 INR data pack will offer 1GB of data a month, 250 INR pack will provide 4GB data, and 1,500 INR data pack will give 35GB of data a month. It will be the one among many steps taken by established operators to counter the onslaught by Reliance Jio since September last year.
All these 4X (4 times) recharge packs can be availed at all retail touch points as well as digital channels. One thing to note, though. Vodafone says that prices for the new Vodafone 4X data packs may vary circle by circle.
To get things in perspective, users who bought 1 GB or 10 GB of data a month, can avail 4 GB or 22 GB of data a month at the same price. And that’s the very reason Vodafone is terming this as 4X data packs.
Sandeep Kataria, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, “Our customers are consuming more of content and video online. With these super rich data packs, our rapidly growing base of 4G customers across 17 circles can enjoy much more of mobile Internet while remaining confidently connected on Vodafone SuperNet 4G. It will also encourage first time and limited users of mobile Internet to explore more by providing greater value. They can access four times more of their favourite content online for the same cost in a truly worry free manner. “
In this offer, the 1GB Vodafone 4G data pack now costs Rs. 150, the 4GB data pack now costs Rs. 250, and the 6GB data pack now costs Rs. 350. Likewise, 4G pack with 9GB data now costs Rs. 450, the 13GB data pack now costs Rs. 650, the 22GB data pack now costs Rs. 999, while the 35GB data pack now costs Rs. 1,500.
