NVIDIA is reportedly planning to make a big announcement at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and from what we have gathered so far, it is likely to be the launch event for the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, as well as the introduction of the GeForce Club Elite.
Note that this is not just another unfounded rumor because several national domains belonging to NVIDIA are currently displaying a clock counting down in addition to frequent teaser posters.
NVIDIA had already indirectly confirmed the existence of the GTX 1080 Ti when they listed a job posting recently that revealed that Club GeForce Elite will initially prioritize GTX 980 Ti owners to upgrade to GTX 1080 Ti.
For the uninitiated, Club GeForce Elite is NVIDIA’s new service that can simply be called a sort of loyalty club with the following set of perks for members:
- Free game codes for users who report a confirmed bug or contribute useful feature enhancement requests
- Free game codes to our most active Share and GeForce Forum users
- Free game codes to users who rank most negative and most positive on our sentiment tools
- 980 Ti users get the first spot in line for 1080 Ti pre-orders, or “Step Up” offer

As for the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, we are yet to have a reliable insight into the pricing, although the key specifications were already spotted online — thanks to a recent Zauba listing. These include 10 GB of vRAM, 384 bit bus, powered by a GP102 core.
