It seems you actually can jailbreak your iOS 10 device by using Mach_Portal and Yalu, here’s how to do it.
iOS 10 jailbreak solution arrived after months of waiting. Downsides? Firstly, the solution is available only for the iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, and the iPad Pro. Devices have to run iOS 10.0.1, iOS 10.1.1 or iOS 10.1. Jailbreak is currently in beta, aimed towards developers, and it is a semi-untethered jailbreak, meaning that it will last just for seven days.
Don’t worry about the limited availability, support for more devices will come in future updates. And just to be clear, the process can go wrong in lots of ways, and it is still in beta. If you decide to perform it mobipicker.com won’t hold any responsibility in the case of a broken device.
Firstly, the list of supported devices:
- iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 10.1.1 or iOS 10.1
- iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 10.1.1 all the way to iOS 10.0.1
- iPad Pro running iOS 10.1.1 all the way to iOS 10.0.1.
Prerequisites
- You’ll need Yalu IPA file. Here’s the download link
- Also, Cydia Impactor is needed, download it from this link
- You have to install iTunes on your computer before continuing
- And finally, you have to disable Touch ID and Passcode (Settings > Touch ID & Passcode to disable).
Installation Guide
1. Connect your device to the computer via USB
2. Launch Cydia Impactor, then drag the Yalu IPA file onto it (the unzipped file), enter your Apple ID when prompted then click OK. The installation will take a couple of minutes.
3. After the installation is finished unhook your device from the computer and then navigate to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management. Trust the profile that can be found there.
4. Press the Home button and launch the mach_portal app.
5. After Cydia appears on your device just launch it and that’s it!
As we already mentioned, the jailbreak will end in seven days. In order to jailbreak the device again, just follow the steps once more. Just don’t try installing tweaks and apps from Cydia. Since the jailbreak is still in beta it may mess up the installation of iOS 10, meaning that you’ll have to install iOS 10.2.
