We would rather think that Clem came to rescue. We already noted that he has the mark on his neck. What if he ran away from the camp where he was kept, cuffed, got chased by a walker. And Clementine found him on the road? She doesn’t have anything to take the cuffs off him right there necessarily. So she might be taking him somewhere they can take them off (Wellington? Howes? Depends on the season 2 endings).
That would explain a whole lot, because otherwise there is no sense for Clementine in keeping him captive. For what reason does she need prisoners? If she doesn’t like/trust him, why would she take him with her then?
As for the mark, we have a theory on that as well. Our theory is that the Capricorn brand thing is the mark of a ‘community’. And that Javier and his family found it at the very start, which could explain why Clem is having to protect him. He wouldn’t really know how to handle it. Maybe they took AJ and Javier’s niece and nephew. We’re guessing that’s what the 2 kids in the teaser were.
They took them back to this ‘community’ and said that if Clem brought back Javier, they would give her AJ. Because we think that she would do anything for him. He is the only one from the ‘cabin group’ that still survived for Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Season 3.
