This week has been rather dull for Android Nougat updates. With the roll-out schedule for most smartphones already revealed, very few devices are yet to receive official confirmation. This week saw Motorola Deutschland confirming that several Motorola models will receive Android 7.0 Nougat update during December. On December 6, Motorola Deutschland published on its official Twitter page dates when Android Nougat updates should start shipping to select models. Moto G (4th gen), as well as Moto Play, should start receiving the update before Christmas. Moto Z Play will get Android Nougat during January 2017. After Moto Z Play, the update will come to the Moto X series and Nexus 6. Nexus 6 Owners should also expect for the Nougat update to land on their devices during Q1, 2017.
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users have something to cheer about. Android Authority has reported that updates for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will arrive at the same time. It’s a great news for OnePlus 3 owners who might have been worried after the launch of OnePlus 3T. With the beta update seeding, it might not be long before users start receiving the Nougat OTA update. It might be December 15 or any other day before the year end.
Android Nougat 7.0 latest version is all set to arrive for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. This will be the third beta update for early testers of both handsets. The Android Nougat 7.0 beta program will run until mid-December. Samsung hasn’t spilled any beans for the official release date of Android Nougat, but we can safely assume it to be December end or early January.
