The Mini NES Classic Edition from Nintendo looked to be an awesome item for retro fans and newbies this Holiday season. But Nintendo has decided to breed a culture of resellers, idiots overpaying, and a supply “shortage” of the Mini NES Classic Edition that has made what could have been one of the coolest Nintendo items ever into a massive problem. To add insult to injury, they even had short cord length for the controller. But there’s a wireless controller that allows you to bypass that.
Mini NES Classic Edition can be played with this wireless controller
The Retro Receiver is a Bluetooth receiver that you plug into your original NES. It allows you to play your NES wirelessly with any original NES model, the Analogue Nt and even other aftermarket NES systems. With the Retro Receiver, not only can you play your NES wirelessly with any 8bitdo controller or arcade stick: but you can even use wireless next gen controllers, too.
All 8Bitdo controllers are compatible with Mac/PC, iOS, Android and many next gen systems. Compatible with two-four Retro Receivers for multiplayer player games. Output support: use the Retro Receiver as a Bluetooth dongle (X-INPUT – Max OSX / Windows).
But if you don’t have an open outlet near you and you have a USB battery pack that is pretty big in power, you could try that for limited power time with it. Since the plug used for the NES classic is USB with a plug that uses USB. Not sure how well it will work, but hey, you never know.
