Mobile tech advances at an astounding rate. QHD screens, processors that will soon reach the power of desktop solutions, tons of RAM, powerful graphic chips, everything is getting better and better except one part of every mobile device. Batteries stay the same, with humble increases in capacity, diminished by processors and displays needing more power to function.

Making the phones thinner and thinner made battery capacity to suffer, with the recent iPhone 7 having a less than humble 1,960 mAh battery. Well, one Chinese company made a smartphone that should last for days and days without needing a charge.

YAAO, a relatively new smartphone manufacturer, launched a new Android smartphone model, dubbed YAAO 6000 Plus. The phone’s major selling point is its monstrous 10,900 mAh battery; that’s 5 times more than the capacity of the iPhone 7’s power bank.

If you already thinking about purchasing YAAO 6000 Plus, we have to disappoint you. The phone is exclusive to the Chinese market. You can find it on JD.com [ibtimes], sporting a price of around $220 (around Rs 15,000).

Other than the huge battery, the phone isn’t really a powerhouse. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 (quad core 1.3 GHz, along with Mali-T720 GPU), packs just 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. The screen is a 5.5-inch one sporting a 720p resolution. On the back, you can find a 13 MP main camera, along with a 5 MP selfie snapper. The design is quite over-the-top, reminiscent of some Vertu models. The back of the device looks removable, meaning that the battery should also be removable.

Although the battery of this size should power the phone for days and days, there’s no info regarding up time, nor the time it takes to fully charge. Since the phone doesn’t support any quick charging tech, it would probably take hours upon hours before the battery gets fully charged.
