Nintendo Switch pre-order are live in the UK
“In addition to providing single-player and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles “
The console is available for 198 pounds at game seek. Three things to mention. £198.50 is only £1.50 less than the (alleged) RRP, which doesn’t make much of a saving especially with more reliable dealers stocking this console. Why rush to pre-order when it’s all but confirmed that there will be more than one SKU. And, finally, the retailer GAME has had a tentative pre-order in place for a few weeks now, with the £999 placeholder.
It’s actually the same way for pre-orders, like when Fire Emblem fate’s price got announced, preorders showed up almost immediately, and by evening it was sold out. You can also pre-order with Game, which is a retailer in the UK. However, they don’t have a listed price at the moment. They have stated that once the price is released, they will contact all pre-order holders to confirm the price and order.
GAME Stores in the UK are now also accepting pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch. It costs £20 to pre-order and every customer who places a pre-order in participating stores gets entered into a raffle to win a Nintendo Switch console in addition to a launch title game which is yet to be decided. The rest of the amount is paid for upon collection on launch day. This can be done in-store and eventually online.
