When the Harry Potter series ended, no one was able to say goodbye to the epic magic course. The J.K Rowling penned fantasy books took the form of movies and then the genre “Fantasy Drama” had a new benchmark of perfection to be conquered. But then, J K Rowling decided to bring the prequel to Harry Potter series and named it as Fantastic Beasts. It wasn’t soon enough that Warner Bros decided to bring the book to life again and give a good cinema treat to the fans of Harry Potter.
Fantastic Beasts, which will be out on November 18, 2016, takes fans to the most controversial years of the century, i.e 1920s where wizards and witches were doomed because they were different and hence the struggle. As the trailer entails, Newt Scamander, played by Redmayne, accidentally unleashes a suitcase which is a home to various magical creatures. The movie is set in 1926, New York, which is 70 years before Harry Potter reads the book in Hogwarts.
As per the reviews are concerned, Daily Mail, review-writer, Matthew Bond said, “It’s every bit as good as Potter and quite possibly even better. I absolutely loved it.”. Daily Telegraph review also said: “As a feat of world-building and character-shaping, it sets an appealing stage.” A review article from Guardian spoke: “Rowling and [Director] Yates have given us a terrifically good-natured, unpretentious and irresistibly buoyant film.” On the other hand, Time Out added: “I’m not sure which is more adorable, Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, or the creatures he smuggles into the US in his battered leather briefcase.”
Other magazines like The Sun said: “This is a busy but brilliant re-introduction to one of the most successful franchises in the world.” Well, the reviews so far seem amazing and we can’t wait to see the movie.
