OnePlus has become synonymous with “flagship killer”. Since the launch of OnePlus One, the company has continued its tradition of launching flagship killer devices. The OnePlus 2 followed OnePlus One. And this year saw the release of yet another flagship killer – OnePlus 3. At just $400, OnePlus 3 offers amazing specs, stunning design, and great build quality. OnePlus doesn’t want to settle with OnePlus 3; the company wants to stay ahead by launching an upgraded variant of OnePlus 3 – the OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus 3T To Launch On November 14 In London

OnePlus 3T is all set to launch on November 15 in London. Does it have what it takes to beat the OnePlus 3 and make it the next flagship killer? Time to find out!

Processor: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3T will sport Qualcomm’s latest chipset – the Snapdragon 821, with CPU clocked at 2.4GHz and GPU at 650MHz. OnePlus 3T’s GPU is 26MHz faster than OnePlus 3’s GPU. The OnePlus 3, as is well-known,  features predecessor of Snapdragon 821 – the Snapdragon 820 chipset. So it’s quite obvious OnePlus 3T will be faster than OnePlus 3, while at the same time being more power-efficient.

Camera: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

The OnePlus 3T is expected to sport a 16MP primary camera that integrates Sony IMX398 sensor. The new camera has improved low-light performance and dual-core autofocus, specifically designed for focusing on moving objects. OnePlus 3 also has 16MP camera with phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilization and LED flash. OnePlus 3T is expected to feature 8MP front camera, same as OnePlus 3. So overall, OnePlus 3T camera has some improvements over and above OnPlus 3 camera.

Display: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3T is expected to feature similar display as the OnePlus 3. There are rumors suggesting Quad HD display. But we think it’s highly unlikely. So expect the OnePlus 3T to have a 5.5-inch optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, supporting 16M color with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels (401ppi). The display is also expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. So no surprises when it comes to display.

OS: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3T is expected to have Android Nougat running out of the box.  Needless to say, Android Nougat comes with a whole lot of new features. OnePlus 3 came with Android Marshmallow and is expected to receive Nougat update soon. This is something you should consider when deciding between OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3. Rather than buy OnePlus 3 and wait for the update, buy the OnePlus 3T which comes with Android Nougat.

Design: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

No surprises when it comes to design. OnePlus 3T is expected to have a similar design, featuring a fingerprint sensor, USBType-CC port and similar dimensions. OnePlus 3 measures 152.7×74.7×7.35mm and weighs about 158g. OnePlus 3T is expected to have similar build and dimensions. You may see minor differences, but nothing significant is expected.

Price: OnePlus 3T vs OnePlus 3

The OnePlus 3T will be priced $80 more than OnePlus 3. So you’ll have to shell out $480. The OnePlus 3’s price currently stands at $400. Of course, we would say $80 is definitely worth the specs and the features OnePlus 3T offers.

So which one are you planning to buy? The latest flagship killer OnePlus 3T or its lesser-priced predecessor OnePlus 3? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
