Sean got caught in his own ambition. We don’t think he’s a bad person. Countless developers put out a vision for a game and don’t achieve it. Todd Howard said there would be incredible AI for Oblivion, they tried their best to achieve it but had to scale it back in the end. But can Hello Games finally nail it in the next No Man’s Sky update?

What does Hello Games have in store for us in the next No Man’s Sky update?

A proper completion/new game+ would give something special, not just crashing the ship on some new planet to start over again. Even a special gear or story add-on would have made the replay much better. Not even one piece of completion-exclusive text progressing the knowledge/story is given – just a crash onto a new planet to do more grind.

Here’s a thought Sean Murray. For such a huge game and huge idea how about getting a somewhat larger team? 15 people are not enough for a game almost literally infinite in scope and size. A bit of a footnote – HG employee Gareth Bourn quit the company around the time the “hack” took place. He is now working on Star Citizen / Squadron 42, for Cloud Imperium / Chris Roberts. Coincidence? We will probably never know.

But a major feature update for No Man’s Sky is the introduction of multiplayer. This is the feature which could still save the game and Sean Murray’s reputation. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
