The Xiaomi Mi Mix surprised the smartphone lovers with its unique border-less design. However, the concept smartphone is set to get a new competition from Meizu. The Chinese company is rumored to come up with a new border-less smartphone in December.
Last month, Xiaomi launched its border-less concept smartphone, Mi Mix along with Mi Note 2. The exquisitely designed smartphone impressed technology enthusiasts across the world. It was sold-out in just 10 seconds in a flash sale in China.
Now, Meizu is rumored to launch a new border-less handset on December 24, which will compete with the Xiaomi Mi Mix. According to a BGR report, the upcoming Meizu smartphone would come with even more screen to body ratio than Xiaomi Mi Mix. Additionally, it will also feature a front fingerprint sensor. A newly leaked image of a Meizu-branded smartphone comes with a tagline – ‘Something Unexpected is coming.’ However, Meizu is yet to make an official announcement about the upcoming smartphone.
Both Chinese companies [Xiaomi and Meizu] have been at loggerheads with each other for a while. The smartphone users are set to benefit from competition among the two, as they try to one-up each other. Both smartphone brands have a huge fan following across the world.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix sports a 6.4-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2014 pixels and a pixel density of 362ppi. It is powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The concept smartphone comes in two variants – 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. It runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix features a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, HSPA, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. It is backed by a 4400 mAh Lithium-Ion battery. The Xiaomi Mi Mix will not be released to outside China.
